The Tux Layout

One of the MANY wedding challenges this month at Sisterhood of Scrap was The Tux.  You were to use only black and white, however the photo could have been a colored photo but I choose to use a black and white of my daughter.

I also really liked this sketch from Pagemaps (did I mention before how much I LOVE there sketches).  So needless to say I combined the two.

I had recently won the Jenni Bowlin Corédinations Everyday Collection but I can say I was somewhat intimated by the collection.  It is BEAUTIFUL and I'm ashamed to say I have never used Corédinations Cardstock.

I had everything picked out for probably two weeks and finally gave it a go.  I sanded, I tore, I distressed, I used Black Soot Distress Ink and I'm happy with the outcome.  I totally enjoyed using the Corédinations Cardstock and I can see me using it several more times.

As you can see I didn't follow the sketch exactly and I choose to use I big photo rather than four little photos.

Materials List
Corédinations Cardstock - Jenni Bowlin Everyday Collection
Jenni Bowlin Embellished Butterflies
Studio Calico Notions Flowers
Prima Flourishes
Misc Flowers, Words and twine from my stash

Getting A Little Messy....

....and boy was it fun.  These layouts are for the Monthly Wedding Challenges at Sisterhood Of Scrap

As it turned out I had just finished these layouts when Studio Calico posted the Weekly Challenge; so I thought I'd give it a shot.

When my daughter opens her presents on her birthday or Christmas she has paper and tape EVERYWHERE.  I used Forever Red Glimmer Mist to mist the cardstock and inked the edges with Fire Brick Distress Ink and used my Pink Paislee Pattern Tape on all the pics. I may have went a little overboard, but I do like the outcome.

Materials list:
American Crafts Cardstock - Cream and Pink
Perfect Pearls Glimmer Mist - Forever Red
Distress Ink - Fire Brick
Cosmo Cricket Block Party Letters and Chipboard
Pink Paislee Artisan Tape - Sage

This next layout is of a Campground I can only dream to stay.  Can you imagine your campsite with a Hot Tub; yes I said Hot Tub.  We have visited Shenandoah Crossing's in Virginia twice but both times stayed in a cabin.  It's just a little far to haul the camper.  The road signs are made out of trees; each site has a concrete pad with an outdoor grill and outdoor furniture.  BEAUTIFUL place...we love it!

This layout is based on a monthly sketch from SEI created by Julie Bonner.  I just love SEI and Julie's Sketch.

Materials List
SEI Enroute
Bo Bunny Roughin' It Chipboard
Acrylic Paint in French Vanilla
Rik Rak from stash
Letters Vintage Market Tim Holtz Die

Fall Beauty

Helmar posted their first monthly challenge on their blog and I was excited to see it! It’s a gorgeous sketch by Design Team member Lydell Quin!

I also used this layout for one of the Monthly Wedding Challenges at Sisterhood Of Scrap - The Beautiful Day.  I really debated whether to enter into the Helmar Challenge; but if I don't try I'll never know.

I used American Crafts White Cardstock; Mister Huey's Sunshine Mist; Petaloo Flowers, Helmar's 450 Quick Dry; the letters are cut from my big shot using the Vintage Market Tim Holtz Die and everything else is from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peak....
